The weather hasn't exactly turned over to fall, but we've taken matters into our own hands.  The garden has been ripped out and the pool closed, so save for the pile of peppers (coming out our ears) those are two less things I have to take care of now.

It's a good thing, too, as the year is off and running.  And we had two different appointments with specialists for two different kids in two different parts of the state last week, 3 back to school nights this week, and well, the normal back to school chaos and chasing of a two year old.

I can handle all that, but it's my own literal running that has gotten my goat as of late.  I mean, how many miles do I have to log before my midsection responds accordingly?  I've been stepping up my efforts, but I'm beginning to wonder where my efforts are best spent...because I'm getting a little tired of being so tired all the time....and still so bulgy around the middle.

I'm also frustrated that I fail so miserably at photographing cross country.
But, that is another story.

Aside from all my whining and complaining, I have a great cheering section, and at a least a fan or two who couldn't care less how many bulges I have.

Here's to fall, pumpkin spice everything....and long fluffy sweaters.

Oh my gosh - the little one with the peppers. He's so pleased with himself! Sometimes, we just think we're bulgy. Sometimes, we're actually perfection. (Or close to it...)

Oh my - I feel you on the mid-section thing. I've lost 50 lbs over these last two years, and still it liiiiiiinnnggers... Sigh. I've gotten my act together in the food/sleep/water department - trying to add more activity and yoga. It's a journey!!
