Despite a steady diet of crackers, the babe has been in a growth spurt. Suddenly, he feels more solid and a bit more of a strain on the back when I pick him up. Pants it feels like he's worn forever are suddenly pulling up to his knees, and he can reach (and pull down) things from the table.
When I saw him in at the bathroom sink, standing on the little stool that has been there forever, despite the fact that no one has really needed it for a few years, I heard the Raffi song 'I wonder if I'm growing' in my head. He can't quite reach the tap yet, but he can get in to wash his hands. Can kindergarten be far behind?
They sure grow up fast.
