The Party's Over

So, that's it.  Summer 2015 is in the books.  My girls all took off on the bus, excited to start a new year.  I enjoyed the sound, quite literally, of chirping crickets in the quiet of the morning.  The baby took a lovely nap, and I feel like this bit of respite was a long time coming.  Some peace and quiet is a luxury I do not often have these days.

I spent my quiet time uploading old photographs for printing so I can continue to work on albums.  It's been a crazy time warp, looking at pictures through the years.  Kids in the same pumpkin patch, at the front door in Halloween costumes, picking out (from the same farm) and decorating the Christmas tree, hunting eggs in the yard, swimming in the same pool...the cast of characters growing and evolving over the years.  I'm looking forward to putting this story together--and watching it continue to develop!  But mostly, today, I'm enjoying the crickets!  :)

Your choice of image could not be a better testament to your post title and observation of the big exhale with the return of kids to school.
