three hundred and fifty three

We found some lovely (and reasonable priced) Christmas cacti at Trader Joe's.  And we found a lot of tasty chocolate treats there too...some of which will never make it to their intended recipient.  *burp*

I've had a lot of candy cane snitching.  But when they request it in their hot cocoa it's hard to resist--just seems so festive.  A lot of requests for cocoa.

Finally had to make some peppermint bark before all the candy canes disappeared.  Kids did almost all the work.  Can't guarantee that some wrappers didn't make it in there.
Might need to label it: 'Chew with care.'

Today is the last day of school, and I can breathe a sigh of relief as we deliver the teacher, coach and bus driver gifts.  And then I will freak out as I realize that the shopping and wrapping time sans kids is now at an end.

I am woefully unprepared.

Warm wishes for a merry Christmas and happy holiday!

talking of Christmas Cactus ... this is when i wish my Grandma Mary was alive .. she had huge ones ... they were amazing ... you see my cactus is in a coke container my hubby loves ... it was sitting outside over the summer & it is not rusting & a hole is forming in the bottom. so i wonder do i pull it out & re-pot & chance that it might die? or do i just let it keep going with a chance of dying any way??! too many questions. nuts!!

happy weekend! ( :

Sounds like the perfect kitchen task for the kids. Enjoy your holiday time with the kiddos.

What sweet memories you are making with your kids. Isn't it funny how even though we don't think it will all come together it eventually does & Christmas is a success even though we fret our way through the craziness of it all. Merry Christmas to you & your family.
