two hundred and forty eight

1.  I got a pleasant surprise this week when I received some of the first prints from my Nikon Coolpix.  I wasn't sure how the underwater shots would turn out, but I loved them so much I put them in my favorite kitchen frames.

2.  I ordered a new paper punch, because I have some sort of strange paper punch addiction.  It's shaped like a little flag and was completely necessary for tucking in appointments on my homemade calender.

3.  I also got a new photography book in the mail...ordered to get the free shipping for my paper punch.  Spend to save!  It was a fun week for mail.

4.  I cleaned my house.  It isn't clean any more, but there were stretches in which it stayed clean for more than a few minutes.  And then the kids came home from school.

5.  I've got a date tonight with a watermelon.  Everything's turning up roses.
Hope you've had a great week!

I totally relate to the free shipping thing. I would rather buy something I don't really need than pay for shipping. That watermelon looks hot! I'm thinking it will be a better date than some of the dates I've been out on.

oh i just cut up a watermelon last night. i almost dropped it on the floor but managed to save it! love watermelon with salt, yum! isn't it fun to get stuff in the mail! "spend to save" love it...yeah, my house is the same. i always wonder how people with spotless houses keep it spotless? i clean and clean and then it looks the same as when i started...

Hah, I feel the same way about my husband. Everything will be clean, and then he comes home from work. Lol.

I really need to read more photography books. I will have to put the one you have on my list to check out!

What a great shot with the watermelon! I love having a clean house but it never lasts long.

Looks like a fun book!
I had to laugh.. with five kids off to school for a full two days now, it's been miraculous, to wash the dishes - and then return a couple of hours later & still find my sink empty.. to sweep the floor.. and have it stay clean.. and so on.
Of course afternoons & evenings are all the more busy & messy now, but during the day - my housework is actually visible for a while!

I have a coupon for a free Shutterfly photo book but I don't know when I'll have the time to actually put it together. Sigh.

And -- I have a watermelon in the fridge right now and I'll be hard-pressed to finish it. Good thing I have chickens. :)

Thanks for sharing at R5F this week Brandi. Always love your photos.

So many times I have ordered something to get free shipping on something else. Ha ha! I hope you enjoy your new book -- and your Coolpix! I have one that's 5 years old and still going strong. Goes everywhere, keeps on working just fine. Sounds like you've had a fun week!

Nice paper punch! Glad you found a nice use for it right away. Hope you enjoyed your watermelon. I love them but can't use a whole one so I don't buy them. Darn.
