Two hundred and twenty two

I've looked at summer from both sides now.  We've had the beaches and theme parks, sunny days and swimming.  And now I've watched a weekend's plans for winery tours, county fairs and demolition derbies go up in smoke for sleepless nights and stomach bugs.  Perhaps the younger me would have cried 'no fair!' at this disillusionment, but the wiser me can still feel the sun amid the clouds.

Such great shots and love your take on this song. One of the benefits of getting a bit older... more wisdom and patience. Hope everyone is well now, and you can plan another weekend. Maybe even better!

And what a great perspective you have both on life AND the song title :). Your portraits are always amazing, love the catch-lights in the eyes. How can one who is sick or tired still look so adorable?!? Thanks for joining in on Song-ography.

Hope everyone feels better quickly. Letting go of plans and settling into the moments we are 'dealt' is one of the greatest lessons mommyhood teaches...she sure is a sweetie pie!

Ah the best laid plans do often go awry. Such lovely thoughts and sweet photo's. Sending hugs and prayers for speedy recoveries.

Life constantly throws curve-balls - it is all about perspective and attitude. Hope the stomach ailments have subsided and the rest of the summer days provide ample excitement to carry you (and yours) into the wintery months.

So sorry that your summer had some disappointments. Ours was really weird too. Lots of rain, and summer fun cut off at the pass. Love your attitude!
