Now, here's where I've been noticing a difference between the 50mm 1.4 lens and my new 1.8. The bokeh when I am shooting in wider apertures is kinda...ugly. The blurry background is more digitized looking, less creamy. It is really starting to bug me. But, I've been fighting the notion that it is the lens--it's easy to blame the equipment, and I'd rather not do that. But, I'm starting to suspect now.
